Humanity Road: Humanity Road Disaster Response Internship Program is a volunteer virtual emergency response internship program. Interns learn online how to perform crisis mapping, support first responders during a disaster, and monitor online messages for urgent needs of those impacted by disaster. To accomplish these tasks, Humanity Road provides interns with expert knowledge in social media for emergency management (SMEM) offering participants the potential for real-world, valuable learning opportunities. Karman Korner: Karman Korner is in need of volunteers for all areas of their non-profit retain store. One hour, one day, or several days a week; any time that can be given is greatly appreciated. Proceeds from Karman Korner Resale Shop benefit families and patients of Judith Karman Bristol Hospice, Stillwater Medical Center Home Health, and the Cancer Center at Stillwater Medical Center. Oklahoma WONDERtorium: Volunteering with the Oklahoma WONDERtorium is a great way to support our mission of inspiring curiosity to learn through play... for a lifetime. Every program and event holds unique opportunities for museum visitors and volunteers. Some events and programs require volunteers to work on a regular schedule, while other events and programs need volunteers on a limited or occasional basis. RoundUp Theatre and Film Company: Volunteers will assist disabled actors in a community theater context at the Stillwater Public Library. Schedule will be Fridays 3:30-5:00 beginning September 9th, and will follow OSU's break schedule. In addition to theater, the RoundUp Theatre and Film Company will be exploring folm as a medium. Stillwater Public Library: The Stillwater Public Library is looking for volunteers for either short-term or long-term projects. A variety of volunteer jobs are available so there is sure to be something perfect for you! Examples of volunteer interests include anime culture, education in Minecraft, genealogy assistance, basic computer instruction, translating documents, and so much more! Stillwater Multi Arts Center: Volunteers are essential to the Multi Arts Center to assist with classes, workshops, general maintenance needs, and more! If you would be interested in volunteering, please fill out the Volunteeer Application form located here.
Stillwater Church of Christ Food Bank: Volunteers needed to assist in the packing of food into sacks, distributing grocery items, and manning distribution stations. Groceries are received by the food bank the first Tuesday of every month, and volunteers are needed the following two days. Volunteers should be capable of lifting 35 pounds. Stillwater Area United Way Agencies: More than 60 agencies and non profits are registered with Stillwater Area United Way's volunteer center. There are many ways you can give to United Way, including your time. United Way reviews your interests and time commitments and matches you with the agency with similar needs. Thrifty Butterfly: Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services is opening a new thrift store called the Thrifty Butterfly. Proceeds from the store go directly toward victim services at Wings of Hope. Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue: Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue works to save orphaned, neonatal kittens and help them find their forever homes! Volunteers are needed to help clean the lobby and playrooms, as well as perform other tasks as needed. Interested individuals should call 405-385-4448.
The Coffee House, Stillwater: If you love coffee, helping others, and making a difference in the Stillwater community, then find out how you can get involved at The Coffee House today! You will have the opportunity to serve alongside our amazing team of volunteers. Our team consists of some of the most positive, compassionate, and dedicated individuals in town. No prior experience is necessary. All you need is a heart for others and the willingness to learn. We only ask that our volunteers commit a minimum of 1-2 hours per week. Turning Point Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center: Turning Point Ranch uses horse-assisted therapy to work with special needs riders. Volunteers are needed to assist the riders, lead the horses, and feed the horses throughout the week. This is a 9 to 10 week commitment that begins towards the start of each semester.
